Memorial Day - Saturday 15 April
Congratulations must go to George Law on winning the Steve Smylie Memorial Trophy with an excellent level par round that produced 42 stableford points. George rolled in 5 birdie putts during the course of his round and this helped him to narrowly beat Colin Sleeman on countback. In overall third came Graham Etherton with 41 points.
Conor Wilson (playing off +3) won the scratch prize (the David Ivall Memorial Trophy) with a superb five under par gross 67 (Conor eagled the par five 5th hole and also had a further 5 birdies).
The divisional prizes went to Kevin Clemo (handicaps up to 12) on 40 points, with Simon Pearce 2nd and Chris Dennis 3rd; and David Cann won the 13 and over handicap range, again, with 40 pints from Nick Michell and Terry Crowle.
The ladies’ section, playing for the Geraldine Wallman Memorial Trophy, was won by Hilary Pryor with 34 points on countback from Bev Vann with Danielle Price in third place on 33 points.
