CGU - Cornwall County U18's v. Cornwall County Seniors

Posted on February 13

No fewer than 6 Perranporth Juniors (more than any other club) represented the County U18's against the long experience and expertise of the County Seniors today on a beautifully presented Perranporth course and even in excellent weather.

In a 4 ball better ball format off scratch the juniors came out as 5 - 3 winners with 4 of our juniors featuring in winning pairs. Our Junior Captain George Law partnering Cameron Gurd of Truro overcame the current County Vice Captain Charlie Phillips and his partner Colin Kitt 4+3. Lewis Woolaway and Will Trew won their close and tense match 1 up against Gary Stone and Neil Hodding whereas  Morgan Craven with his partner also won 1 up in a close encounter.

Zack Cook and his partner Thomas Stephens faced tough opposition including Tristen Gurd and eventually lost 6+5 and finally Rhys Kerton and his partner Freddie were up against it and lost 7+5.

But a great win overall  for the County's Juniors and credit for a fantastic overall performance and contribution to the win from Perranporths juniors.
